Pakistan Flood Relief

Written by Cam Duncan

Massive rain and flooding hit Pakistan in August 2010, affecting 20 million people.  Presbyterian World Service and Development is working with Canadian Foodgrains Bank and the ACT Alliance to provide food, shelter, emergency supplies and medical care for over 150,000 of the most affected people in the provinces of Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North West Frontier Province).

Donations may be made through Knox to support PWS&D's relief efforts, or you may donate online here

The Canadian Government will be matching donations made by individual Canadians to registered Canadian charitable organizations – including PWS&D – for flood relief efforts from August 2 until September 12, 2010.

Presbyterian World Service & Development is the development and relief agency of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
